Missions Ministry

Matthew 28:19-20

Love God. Love Others. Make Disciples. We believe that missions is rooted in the person of Jesus Christ. He was the original missionary who, because of his great love for us, left his home in heaven and came to earth to bring us the good news that we can have a relationship with God through his death and resurrection. It is this love that compels us to go and do likewise by bringing this same good news to others.

We joyfully and humbly accept the mission given to us to make disciples—to reconcile and restore lost and broken people to God—by partnering with Him through the power of the Holy Spirit. It is by His Spirit that we can fully express Jesus’ love, compassion, mercy through building relationships and meeting the practical needs of people living in our own neighborhoods and around the world.

Topics include Islam Rising, Belief and Ritual, Attitudes of an Ambassador, Bridging the Gospel, Understanding the New Testament Credibility, and Understanding Jesus’ Sacrifice.

2017 International Mission Trip

This summer, a team of ten people from Almaden Neighborhood Church will be traveling to the country of Jordan to encourage refugee families and help people in need.  We will be partnering with the Christian & Missionary Alliance, local churches and international workers to observe the work that they are doing and to support in any ways that we can.

Our main work will be with Syrian and Iraqi refugees who have fled their homes and are in great need.  We will spend time visiting with refugee families and bringing them supplies and food as well as building relationships with them and showing them God’s love.  We hope to be an encouragement to the local workers and to give them a boost as they continue the work every day.

Please be in prayer for our team as we prepare for this trip and trust God to use us in whatever ways He desires.  We acknowledge our limitations of what we can do in a short amount of time and ask that God will use this time to broaden our worldview and grow us in faith as followers of Jesus.  We believe that God loves all people and that there is no one who is forgotten or without value.  We pray that as we travel to work with the refugees that we can demonstrate God’s great love to them.

Matthew 25:35-36
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.”

2016 Mexico Mission Trip

Our Family Mission Trip was created to allow families to serve together on a mission trip and learn about missions. Currently, we are partnering with the Christian and Missionary Alliance Base in Mexicali, Mexico for week long trips which include light construction and children’s ministry. For more information below is our email form, please send us a message.

As a part of the Christian and Missionary Alliance, we support Alliance international workers who care for the sick, befriend the lonely, and introduce spiritually impoverished people to the One who releases us all from the curse of sin and the sting of death.
