Joining The Journey

Joining The Journey

Take Up Your Cross. We often talk about living as disciples and followers of Jesus Christ. In the gospel of Mark, Jesus said, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.” (Mark 8:34) That is a very radical definition of discipleship. Jesus didn’t say that His disciples have to study or memorize verses or go to church on Sunday. Instead, He says that His disciples must take up their cross and follow Him. Are we willing to do that? Do we even understand what that means? We will be looking at Mark 15:16-32 and we’ll get a glimpse of a man who picked up a cross and followed Jesus. We’ll discover what it means for our lives and how to “Join the Journey.” ~Pastor Jordan Wong
