First Thought, Best Thought

First Thought, Best Thought

What's on Your Mind? If you had a transcript of all of the thoughts that ran through your head in a single day, what would that document look like? If we could categorize all of those thoughts, what would the majority of them be about? Do we think about things that are useful and productive or things that are distracting and negative? Is this a list that we would want others to see or would we be ashamed to see what goes on in our head? Perhaps we cannot do a “thought audit” and look at the data, but we do know that our minds are always thinking and filled with thoughts throughout the day. Sometimes we even have unwanted thoughts that fill us with worry, anxiety, and fear. But God created us to have minds that are fully engaged and filled with good things. He promises that we can be “transformed by the renewing of our minds” (Romans 12:2). We continue our series about “Finding Focus in a World of Distraction” by looking at what it means for us to take control of our thoughts. We will learn how to intentionally keep our focus on Jesus and create healthy habits that point us to having our “Best Thought” throughout the day. ~Pastor Jordan Wong
