What Is In Front Of You (Gospel of Mark)

Have you ever asked God for a sign? For something tangible that you could see or touch to prove that He is real or that He is leading? In Mark chapter 8, after Jesus had just finished feeding 4,000 people with only seven loaves of bread, the Pharisees came up to him and asked him for a sign to prove who He was. Jesus responded by sighing profoundly and saying “Why does this generation ask for a sign?” God is so good, gracious and patient with us. But at times, I think He listens to us and sighs deeply. His fingerprints surround us, and that is the proof that He is present and working. But we often tend to miss the evidence and focus on our problems and issues. God is all around us and is inviting us to pay attention and join Him in what He is doing every day.
