“Broken Cisterns”

This Sunday we’ll be looking at the book of Jeremiah, specifically chapter 2 verses 1-19. In this passage, God accuses his people with exchanging a relationship with Him for pursuing worthless idols. Today, we may not have idols of marble or bronze in our homes, but we do have idols. Whether it’s money, success, security, technology or an idealized family, we are surrounded by idols that can tempt us to walk away from the true life found in Christ to run after our own desires. Join in with our worship service this Sunday as we discover what it looks like to drink from the Spring of Living Water instead of digging “Broken Cisterns” that can never satisfy. Christ fills our deepest needs and only in Him can we find peace for our restless hearts.
