“Abide”
Happy New Year! As we stand at the beginning of 2026, it is a great time to set our intentions and dedicate ourselves again to God. It is less about what we want to do in the coming year and more about who we want to be. Many people will set up resolutions of how we can become the people that we want to be. Gratefully, as Christians, we don't have to strive to achieve a program. Instead, we allow Christ to do the work in us. We have accepted Jesus into our lives which means that He lives in us. The path forward for us is to remain in him, live life with Him and surrender all areas of our lives to Him. This Sunday, we'll be diving into what it looks like to "Abide" in Christ as we read the gospel of John chapter 15. We will also celebrate communion together on this first Sunday of the year.
