“Crouching at the Door”
This Sunday, we’ll be looking at Genesis chapter 4 which tells us the story of the first siblings, Cain and Abel. As you may know, the story doesn’t go well. This shows us that from the very beginning of life in our fallen world there was selfishness, violence and evil. We see this pattern continuing to play out in our world today.
Praise God that Genesis 4 is not the end of the story! While sin continues to “crouch at the door”, we are able to have victory through Jesus Christ. He is able to make us new so that we do not have to give into sin. He restores us to be people of love, made in His own image. We learn from the original brothers that we cannot create peace and harmony on our own but that we need Jesus. Only He can transform our brotherly hate into brotherly love.
Join us this Sunday as we worship the Lord together and allow Him to work His redemption in us and our world.
