“Fulfilling the Promise”
This Sunday is Palm Sunday as we remember Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem! This weekend also begins "Holy Week" as we move towards the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
One of the significant events of this week is when Jesus invites his disciples into an upper room to have the “Last Supper” with them and institutes what we call Communion or the Eucharist. The meal that Jesus eats on that evening is actually a historic feast called the Passover that has deep symbolism of salvation and sacrifice. This Sunday, we’ll be looking at Luke 22:7-20 and how the promises of Passover are “Fulfilled at the Table”.
