“The World Hates You”
We desire to be disciples and followers of Jesus. We want to receive what he has including his peace, love and joy. But to truly follow him wherever he goes, it means that we will also experience pain, suffering and persecution just like he did. Not everyone loves Jesus. Not everyone will love you. In fact, Jesus tells us that the world will hate us because it hated him. Truth and mercy are not always popular. How do we respond to this? Our natural reactions range from trying to conform to the world so it doesn’t hate us to attacking the world and hating it right back. But Jesus gives us another way. He sends us the Holy Spirit to lead us and guide us so that we can be an example and testimony of the love of God even to a world that may hate us. Join as we look at John 15:18-16:15 and discover what to do when “The World Hates You”.
