“What No One Knows”

Things may look good on the outside, but sometimes there are problems just below the surface. This is true of many things including our own lives. It’s easy to keep up appearances, but it’s harder to do the work of actually going deep and working through the issues. Praise God that through Jesus Christ we can have the confidence and courage to explore beneath the surface in our lives and allow Him to make us whole and clean. We don’t have to be afraid of what’s inside of us if we live lives of confession and freedom in Christ.

This Sunday, we’ll look at the story of King David in 2 Samuel 11-12 and the song that he wrote about the experience in Psalm 51. David commits a bunch of sins including adultery, murder and covering it all up. However, once he is confronted, he repents and finds forgiveness and restoration. In his story, we will discover the power of confession and repentance as we receive the amazing grace of Jesus Christ.
