Temporary Certificate of Occupancy
On July 13, the City of San Jose gave us permission to start using the Neighborhood Center! Just in time for our Vacation Bible School on Monday July 15 with over 80 kids already registered. Praise God for His dreams, visions and faithfulness. Thank you to all who have prayed, donated and supported!

Outside-In
Praise God! The exterior of the Neighborhood Center is complete! Walls, doors, windows and roof are all installed. It looks great on the outside, but it’s still empty on the inside. The next step is to raise the funds so that we can complete the interior plumbing, electrical and other necessities so that we can get the certificate of occupancy and start using this building for the community
Bless this Place
Last Sunday we had a powerful time of walking through the construction site and getting a sense of what the new Neighborhood Center is going to feel like. This will be a space where children, teens, families and all of the people of our community will be able to gather and grow! We prayed over each of the rooms and dedicated this space for God’s glory and His life-transforming work. Thank you for all who have been giving to this project and please keep it up! The roof trusses go up next!

The walls are going up!
It is finally happening! After over 12 years of planning and raising funds, the walls to the new Neighborhood Center are being built and raised this week! By the grace of God, we have raised over $1.8 million over this period of time and are able to move forward with the next phase of building without having to take out any loans or put the church in any debt. This phase of construction will take about three months and will include installing the walls, doors, windows, roof and completely finishing the exterior of the building. This will set us up for the final phase of the project which will include doing all of the interior utilities, walls and finishes. We will need to raise the funds for the final phase of the project, but God has been providing and we trust that He will continue.
Year End Update
In 2020, we completed Phase I of the project! The first stage of this project included paying all of the city permits and fees, trenching for utilities, running utility lines to the building site, upgrading water meter, changing from septic system to sewer, installing fire hydrant on site, improving driveway and sidewalks, excavating and grading foundation site and pouring concrete pad for the foundation of the building. All of this is done and paid for.
The next phase starts soon! This Spring, we hope to begin construction on Phase II of the Neighborhood Center. This includes erecting the wood frame structure for the building, installing all doors and windows, installing shingle roof, installing all exterior siding and stucco and pouring concrete sidewalks around the building. At the end of this phase we will have a weatherproof shell for our building!
