COMMUNITY SERVICE
God has called us to serve our community. He desires to use us as a blessing to those around us. The biggest way that we can reach out is living out Christ-centered lives among our neighbors, friends, families, and co-workers. All of us are called to serve and love.
Our team focuses on ways to serve our neighbors in the name of Christ.
Interested in lending a hand for our community? Please contact us. We would love to have you on our team.

Our church sponsors an after-school program at two of our local public schools, Graystone Elementary School and Williams Elementary School. Every week a team of volunteers from our church and other area churches go to the school campuses and provide an interactive program of songs, games and Bible lessons for the kids. This is a great way to invest in the children and families of our community and we have seen God do incredible things in many lives through Kids Club! If you would like to volunteer or if you have questions, contact us.

We partner with City Team Ministries and send a team of volunteers out quarterly to reach out to the homeless and hungry individuals in our community. Throughout the year, we collect items for “Blessing Bags”, which are small bags filled with toiletries, socks and essentials. Then we bring a team of volunteers to distribute the items and spend time with the guests at the City Team shelter in downtown San Jose. Fill out the contact form below if you would like more information on how you can get involved.

Almaden Neighborhood Church is partnering with City Team Ministries and Second Harvest Food Bank to provide food for food-insecure families in San Jose. Twice a month, we take a team to a local apartment complex to provide boxes of produce to families in need. Throughout the year, we hold several events to reach out to the kids and families of our community to build relationships. On the Saturday before Easter Sunday, we hold a large Easter egg hunt and festival with lots of games and activities for the kids. Every summer, during the third week of July we have our week-long Vacation Bible School which is often the highlight of the year!
MISSIONS
Love God. Love Others. Make Disciples.
We believe that missions is rooted in the person of Jesus Christ. He was the original missionary who, because of his great love for us, left his home in heaven and came to earth to bring us the good news that we can have a relationship with God through his death and resurrection. It is this love that compels us to go and do likewise by bringing this same good news to others.
As a part of the Christian & Missionary Alliance, we partner with international workers who are serving God in over 70 different countries. We also engage in short-term missions trips and have taken teams to Paraguay, Jordan and Mexico.
