“Before the Moment”

We all face temptation, and we know how easy it can be to give in to sin. But what does it take to resist temptation and turn away from sin? Is it simply a matter of trying harder, or is there something deeper at work?

This Sunday, we will look at how to allow God to work within us so that we can be the kind of people who can stand against sin before the moment of temptation arrives. We will be continuing our series through Genesis, as we look at the contrasting stories of Judah and Joseph in Genesis 38–39. We’ll discover what their choices reveal about the power of temptation, the consequences of sin, and how a life centered on God prepares us to resist temptation when it comes.
