“Betrayed”

To truly love someone means the you sacrifice, serve and risk for the good of the other person. Loving others makes us vulnerable. What if you love someone and they reject you, take advantage of you or betray you? What if they don’t love you back? Jesus calls us to follow his example and to love one another as he has loved us. Jesus loves you with an amazing love. Even when you turn from him, ignore him or act as an enemy against him, he continues to love you and give his life as a sacrifice for you. Only when we experience the deep love and forgiveness of Christ can we being to truly love others. When we experience Jesus’ response to our betrayal we can have the resilience and wholeheartedness to endure all things and remain in love.

Join us this Sunday at 10am for our worship service as we look at John 13:18-38. We will also take communion together during the service as a reminder of Jesus’ sacrifice and love.
