“The House of God”
Are you running towards God or away from Him? Thankfully, no matter how you answer that question, God is running after you. He will bring you His presence and be with you if you let Him.
In Genesis 28, Jacob is running from home—and from the consequences of his own choices—when God meets him in the middle of nowhere. Jacob discovers something surprising: God’s presence isn’t confined to a place. God comes to us.
We may run toward distractions, success, relationships, or our own plans, but God continues to pursue us, redeem us, and invite us home to Him.
This Sunday we’ll be looking at Genesis 28:10–22 as Jacob has an encounter with the Lord that brings him to the “House of God”. We’ll explore what it means that God doesn’t just dwell in a building or a particular location. He dwells with us and invites us to make our home in Him.
