“Know Your Role”

God has given you what you need.  He has given you a specific calling and purpose to fulfill.  We are at our best when we are living out of that purpose.  Many of us don’t know what our purpose is, but instead of coming to God to receive it we settle for just trying to do more.  We go in a lot of directions, pursue a lot of stuff and try to do as many good things as we can.  We figure that if we just keep doing more that we’ll eventually do what we are supposed to do.  In the Bible, John the Baptist has an encounter with Jesus and he realizes that he doesn’t need to do more, in fact he needs to do less.  “He must become greater; I must become less.” (John 3:30).  It doesn’t mean that we become lesser people in value.  It means that instead of trying to do more things, we become content in doing the right things.  Join us this Sunday as we learn from John 3:27-36 and discover how we follow Jesus and “Know Our Role”.
